Project Description

	Geographical Coverage: States of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming

	Project Purpose: The purpose of this project was to identify the most important environmental issues in the region based on the relative level of human health and ecological risk posed by each issue.

	Ranking Process: The Comparative Risk Advisory Council coordinated the evaluation of the problems areas and constructed the initial Human Health and Ecological Risk Rankings. These rankings were later finalized after review by several State Environmental Agency Directors.

	Participants in the Ranking Process: Governmental Agencies Various U.S. EPA staff, predominantly from Region 8, comprised the Comparative Risk Advisory Council.
