Ranking Process:
- Three Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Technical Committees (Human Health, Ecosystems, and Quality of Life) developed numerical scoring systems for the issue areas. The Human Health and Ecosystems Technical Committees scored the issues for each Mississippi county, while the Quality of Life Technical Committee only developed statewide scores. Relying heavily on the Technical Committee reports, the Public Advisory Committee worked with the DEQ to construct the final Statewide Ranking of Risks.
