  Project Description

  Geographical Coverage:
State of North Dakota

[ top ]

  Project Purpose:
1) Identify environmental issues that are of concern and risk to North Dakotans,
2) Compare and prioritize those issues of concern,
3) Develop a strategy to address the issues, and
4) Better target North Dakota's resources toward cost-effective environmental activities that can best reduce risks and impacts.

  Ranking Process:
The Human/Public Health, Ecosystem Risk, and Quality of Life Committees created separate rankings of the selected environmental issues of concern. Based upon these rankings and associated recommendations, the Public Advisory Committee constructed a draft integrated ranking, which they never finalized.
